TMJ Treatment for Clicking Sounds in Nashville

This service is for people who notice jaw pain, facial tension, limited opening, or clicking sounds with other symptoms. The page-specific decision is whether your jaw complaint needs focused care after an injury or belongs with another type of evaluation.

We begin with your symptoms and medical history. Our team also considers whether the concern followed a car accident, workplace incident, slip, fall, or another personal injury event.

TMJ treatment may fit when jaw symptoms affect daily movement or connect with neck and facial tension. We explain the findings and outline a personalized treatment plan. A separate medical or dental referral may be needed when the concern falls outside chiropractic care.

  • Note when jaw pain, facial tension, or limited opening began.
  • Share whether symptoms followed a car accident, workplace incident, slip, or fall.
  • Bring relevant medical records or diagnostic information when available.
  • Ask how treatment progress and injury documentation will be recorded.

Process

How We Plan Care for Jaw Symptoms

1

Record your symptoms and injury history

The new patient intake records jaw pain, facial tension, limited opening, related neck symptoms, and the event that may have caused them.

2

Examine jaw movement and related areas

The health history and exam review jaw movement, nearby muscle tension, and other findings that may shape the care plan.

3

Review diagnostic needs

X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated, based on the findings and the information needed for care.

4

Explain findings and next steps

The report of findings explains what was observed and how a personalized treatment plan may address the documented symptoms.

5

Track treatment progress

Progress re-examinations and treatment records help document how the symptoms and care plan develop.

My fiancé & I was in an accident on 4/16/2024 and since we started treatment at the clinic the staff has been very helpful. They’re very professional, polite& efficient. Dr. Roberts always make sure that she ask us if we’re ok before and after treatment. She also makes sure that we clearly understand the process and answers any question’s or concerns that we may have. I would recommend her to anyone that needs proper treatment after an injury.

Questions About Jaw Symptoms and Care

How does the first jaw evaluation work for TMJ Treatment?

The first jaw evaluation reviews your symptoms, health history, injury details, and movement concerns.

  1. We complete a new patient intake.
  2. We perform a health history and exam.
  3. We discuss diagnostic needs and findings.
  4. We explain possible next steps.

The visit gives you a clearer basis for deciding on care.

Which symptoms should I mention during the consultation for TMJ Treatment?

Jaw pain, facial tension, limited opening, and changes after an injury should be mentioned during the consultation. Include when each symptom began and what movements affect it. Neck pain or headaches may also matter because nearby areas can affect the care discussion. Detailed answers help us plan a focused evaluation.

When is jaw care the wrong type of treatment?

Jaw care is the wrong fit when a dental or medical condition needs treatment outside chiropractic care. Severe or unusual symptoms need prompt medical attention. Our team reviews the history and findings, then discusses referral when another provider is better suited. We don't present chiropractic care as a substitute for dental or medical evaluation.

Why does an injury history matter for TMJ care?

An injury history helps connect jaw symptoms with the event, body areas affected, and records needed for care. Car accidents, workplace incidents, slips, and falls can create different documentation needs. We record the reported history and treatment progress. That record may support a personal injury or workplace injury case.

What changes the cost of care for jaw symptoms for TMJ Treatment?

The evaluation needed, symptoms addressed, and related injury documentation can change the cost of care. A consultation helps define what you need before treatment begins. Free initial consultations let you discuss your condition, options, and next steps. We don't publish a single price because care needs differ between patients.
