Jaw care for Berry Hill injury cases

Jaw symptoms can follow a car accident, workplace incident, slip and fall, or another personal injury event. Clicking, facial tension, headaches, and trouble chewing can all affect the care decision.

This page helps you decide whether jaw-focused care fits your symptoms. We review the injury story, health history, and diagnostic needs before discussing a personalized treatment plan.

The work may include hands-on care, jaw exercises, soft tissue release, or postural correction. It does not replace medical care for a serious jaw injury, dental problem, or condition that needs another specialist.

  • Note when jaw pain began and whether an accident or workplace event preceded it.
  • Record clicking, locking, headaches, chewing pain, and changes in jaw movement.
  • Bring relevant medical records or injury documents to the consultation.
  • Ask how treatment progress and injury records will be documented.

Service Overview

TMJ treatment is a form of care that addresses pain, tension, and movement problems around the jaw joint and nearby muscles.

  • It differs from general chiropractic care because it focuses on jaw movement, chewing strain, facial tension, and related posture.
  • Advanced Injury Care Clinic provides this care for patients in Berry Hill through its Nashville-area offices.

What this care can change

Jaw-focused care may make chewing and speaking more comfortable when muscle tension affects movement.

A documented treatment record gives you a clearer account of symptoms and progress after an injury.

Postural correction may address neck and upper-body strain that contributes to jaw tension.

Regular maintenance may help you manage recurring strain after the main injury concerns are reviewed.

What patients receive from jaw care

A plan tied to your symptoms

Your first discussion connects jaw movement, pain, injury history, and health needs before care is selected. This service is not the right fit for every dental, bone, or medical condition, so we may recommend another form of care when needed.

Injury records that stay organized

Documented treatment progress can help patients track changes after a car accident, workplace incident, slip, or fall. The record reflects your visits and reported symptoms, not a promised outcome.

Care that considers posture

Jaw tension can occur with neck and upper-body strain. We consider postural correction and soft tissue release when those findings relate to your symptoms.

Process

How jaw-focused care moves forward

1

Review the injury and symptoms

The new patient intake records your health history, jaw concerns, injury details, and current symptoms.

2

Examine jaw movement and posture

The clinical evaluation considers jaw motion, related neck strain, muscle tension, and posture.

3

Explain the findings

The report of findings connects the exam with your symptoms and outlines appropriate care options.

4

Set the treatment plan

The personalized treatment plan may include manual therapy, jaw exercises, postural correction, or soft tissue release.

5

Track treatment progress

Progress re-examination and injury documentation help record changes and guide later care decisions.

Choosing the right next step for jaw discomfort

This comparison separates common jaw-care needs from concerns that may require another evaluation.

This is the most friendliest and efficient doctor’s office I ever visited. The lady at the front desk !!!! AMAZING. Great customer service. The doctor asks perfect questions and made me feel comfortable and confident with my treatment plan. Highly recommended for all patients. Even if you’re just learning to walk again! The equipment and service provided is well worth the visit.

My fiancé & I was in an accident on 4/16/2024 and since we started treatment at the clinic the staff has been very helpful. They’re very professional, polite& efficient. Dr. Roberts always make sure that she ask us if we’re ok before and after treatment. She also makes sure that we clearly understand the process and answers any question’s or concerns that we may have. I would recommend her to anyone that needs proper treatment after an injury.

Questions about jaw-focused care

What treatment methods may help TMJ discomfort?

Manual therapy may help TMJ discomfort when jaw or nearby muscle tension affects movement. Jaw exercises can guide controlled motion, while soft tissue release addresses related muscle tightness. Postural correction may help when neck or upper-body position adds strain. The exam determines which methods fit your symptoms, and individual response differs.

How does the first jaw care visit work?

The first visit starts with a new patient intake and health history review. The clinical evaluation then considers jaw movement, related neck strain, posture, and the injury event. Findings are explained before a personalized treatment plan is discussed. Bring medical records or injury documents if they relate to your symptoms.

Which symptoms suggest I should request an assessment?

Jaw pain, clicking, locking, chewing trouble, facial tension, or related headaches support requesting an assessment. The symptom pattern matters more than one isolated sound or sensation. We also ask when symptoms began and whether a car accident, workplace incident, slip, or fall came first.

When is jaw care the wrong fit?

Jaw-focused chiropractic care may be the wrong fit for a serious dental, bone, or medical condition that needs another clinician. We review your symptoms and history before selecting care. Severe or sudden changes should receive prompt medical attention, and we may recommend another evaluation when the findings call for it.

Why do injury records matter after jaw pain starts?

Injury records connect reported symptoms with the event and track documented treatment progress. They can help patients organize information for workplace or personal injury cases. The record includes your history, findings, care discussions, and progress. It does not promise a legal or medical outcome.
