Sports Chiropractic in Lakewood for Injury Assessment and Return Guidance

Sports chiropractic addresses the care decisions that follow pain, strain, or reduced movement after activity. The work fits athletes, active adults, and people whose symptoms affect daily tasks.

This page focuses on the treatment plan itself. We link injury findings to manual therapy, exercise planning, and return guidance, so you understand what each step is meant to address. A care plan may also include injury documentation when a workplace or personal injury case requires a clear record.

The key decision is fit. Chiropractic care may suit musculoskeletal symptoms, but serious weakness, major trauma, or signs of a medical emergency need medical attention first. Our team can help explain the next step after reviewing your concerns.

  • Identify the movement or activity that worsens symptoms.
  • Bring relevant health history and prior imaging when available.
  • Ask how manual therapy and exercises fit the care plan.
  • Discuss return guidance before resuming demanding activity.

What Patients Get From a Focused Care Plan

Findings tied to treatment choices

The plan begins with your symptoms and health history, then links those findings to manual therapy, adjustment, or exercise work. This service is the wrong fit for a medical emergency or a condition needing urgent hospital care.

Movement work beyond the table

Exercise planning gives the care plan an active part, so progress is not based only on hands-on treatment. Your exercises should match your current ability and symptoms.

Records that explain progress

Documented treatment progress gives patients and involved parties a clearer record of care, findings, and changes over time.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly. The office is clean and laid back. Not much of a wait. The doctor walks you through every step and tells you what he’s going to do and has answers any questions I’ve had to the best of his knowledge. Normally I am afraid to go to doctors and be in offices but this place has been a different experience. I would recommend anyone to come here. The front desk ladies are helpful and friendly

Questions About Sports Chiropractic Care

When comparing options, what does a sports chiropractic treatment plan include to keep the work on track?

Injury assessment, manual therapy, exercise planning, and return guidance can form the core of a sports chiropractic treatment plan. Advanced Injury Care Clinic begins with symptoms, health history, and an exam. The plan may include spinal adjustment, soft tissue therapy, or movement exercises. A progress re-examination helps guide later care decisions.

How does the first visit move from intake to treatment?

The first visit moves from intake and examination to a report of findings and a personalized treatment plan. The new patient intake records your concerns and health history. Our team then discusses findings before recommending care. Imaging is considered when clinically indicated, and treatment choices are explained before they begin.

Which symptoms should stop me from exercising before an appointment?

Sudden weakness, loss of balance, severe numbness, or major loss of function should stop exercise and prompt medical attention. Ongoing pain after activity still deserves a careful evaluation. Tell our team what movement worsens symptoms, where pain travels, and when it began. Those details help guide a safer discussion about care.

Why might manual therapy be added to an adjustment?

Manual therapy may address soft tissue tension that affects movement around a painful joint. An adjustment focuses on selected joint motion, while soft tissue work addresses muscles and related tissues. Our team chooses the combination from the examination findings. Results vary, so the plan can change when your symptoms or movement response changes.

What changes the cost of a sports chiropractic visit?

The cost changes with the type of evaluation, treatment, exercise planning, and documentation your situation requires. A consultation helps identify which services fit your needs. Personal injury or workplace cases may also require injury records. We explain the recommended care and how to request pricing information before you choose a plan.

Can care include exercise guidance after hands-on treatment?

Yes, exercise guidance can follow hands-on treatment when movement work fits the patient’s findings. The exercises may focus on control, mobility, or strength for daily activity. Our team explains how each exercise relates to the care plan. Stop any movement that sharply worsens symptoms and report that response at the next discussion.
